Qualifications:

  • A.R.D.M.S., C.S.D.M.S. Registered
  • Credentials in Abdomen, OB/Gynecology, Breast Ultrasound 
  • NT certification
  • Graduate of a recognized Ultrasound Program
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program (MRT) an asset 
  • CMRTO registration an asset
  • Current CPR Certification preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years experience in Ultrasound
  • Vascular studies experience preferred
  • Experience in general imaging an asset
  • Working with PACS/HIS/RIS

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations and changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, on call and statutory holidays
  • Able to maintain an effective working relationship with patients, physicians, hospital staff and the public
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Hospital Software experience and asset)
  • Demonstrated initiative and good judgement in problem solving and identifying opportunities for action 
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication, verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Professional demeanour and excellent attendance are required
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and preventative maintenance processes
  • Responsible to ensure optimal: patient flow, equipment operation and procedures
